Last week, Hanoi French Hospital collaborated with the Dan Phuong District Health Center to organize a screening program for breast and cervical cancer for women in 7 communes of Dan Phuong district, as part of the city’s plan for "Screening and Early Detection of Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer for Women in Hanoi."
The event took place over 7 days from December 18 to 26, with many positive outcomes:
1,431 patients underwent gynecological examination, clinical examination, and breast ultrasound, achieving an 82% screening rate for all women in the 7 communes of Dan Phuong district.
1,322 patients underwent cervical cancer screening.
The results revealed 6 patients with breast fibroids: 4 patients diagnosed with breast tumors (including 2 with axillary lymph node involvement) and 2 patients with inflammation of the cervix.
These patients have been counseled for further monitoring and in-depth examinations.
Early detection and timely treatment significantly improve the effectiveness of treatment, reduce treatment costs, and alleviate the burden on families and society.
At Hanoi French Hospital, community health protection, especially for women and children, is always a top priority. The hospital is committed to continuing to accompany many more programs to bring health, joy, and happiness to millions of Vietnamese families – a goal that HFH holds dear and strives for every day.
