In compliance with the Vietnam laws on Medical Examination and Treatment and on Personal Data Protection,

 

1. Hanoi French Hospital (HFH) will ensure that all personal data that you provide to us is protected.

 

2. Your personal data including any identification such as full-name, date of birth, ID/passport number, place of birth, residence, marital status, gender, religion … and medical information that is provided to us during your registration/treatment, whether orally or in writing, are being, and will continue to be stored, utilized, processed, disclosed, transferred and otherwise processed by HFH. The administration of the data may include but is not limited to the following purposes:

  • For rendering medical treatment throughout your care within HFH, which may involve sending data out of Vietnam whenever required for your quality and continuity of care.
  • To collaborate with third party vendors engaged by HFH for the purpose of rendering medical care, including those located outside of Vietnam, if any.
  • For data transfer to, and sharing with, the Vietnam competent Authorities and/or third parties acting on our behalf including those located outside Vietnam, if any, for purposes including, but not limited to, compliance, evaluation and quality assurance, audit and review/report purposes.
  • To communicate with insurance offices or organizations, reinsurers or investigators for claims, reinsurance and compliance/audit purposes, including those located outside of Vietnam, if any
  • To respond to enquiries, further patient communication and to provide advice and services to ensure continuity of care.

 

3. We will retain your personal information either for the period of our business relationship or, for the requisite retention periods as stipulated in any contractual arrangements or under any applicable law, whichever is the later. If we change our data protection policy as per legal requirements, we will place notices on our website, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times.

 

4. Please note that it will be necessary for HFH to process your personal data, without which we will not be able to keep a complete record of information about you, thus affecting our capacity to accomplish the above stated purposes. We endeavour to take reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal data that we collect and/ or process are accurately reflected in our system in accordance with the details provided by you. Kindly inform us immediately if your personal data provided earlier to us have become incorrect, inaccurate or out of date.
