Last update 02/10/2022 - 16:52
HFH’s Department of Dermatology & Venereology is operated by a team of local and international specialists who are specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails, as well as Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).
Dermatologists at HFH have the expertise and equipment to treat a comprehensive range of skin diseases and disorders from common allergies, skin infections, acne and eczema, to serious autoimmune disorders and cancer.
HFH’s Dermatology Department also offers treatments and modern technology to enhance skin and hair appearance including anti-aging therapies.
Hair Loss (alopecia)
There are multiple causes of hair loss and a correct diagnosis is crucial. Androgenic alopecia, which is the most common balding process, is caused by miniaturization (shrinking) of the hair follicles. Treatments are available to stop or reverse this process. The best treatment for androgenic alopecia is hair transplant.
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI)
HFH’s Dermatology Department also offers extensive tests, treatments and counseling for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
Most skin disorders are treated on an out-patient basis, including:
- Eczema
- Psoriasis
- Acne
- Infectious dermatosis (bacterial, viral and fungal)
- Abscess and cyst (Surgical removal)
- Skin tumors (Nevus, Carcinoma, Melanoma...)
- Autoimmune disease.
- Hair and nail issues
- Allergies, in collaboration with pneumologists
The Department is equipped with:
- PUVA therapy cabin
- Iontophoresis machine for the treatment of excessive sweating
- Sclerotherapy to treat spider veins
- Laser therapy
Our dermatologists collaborate with the National Institute of Dermatology and Venereology in Hanoi, and the Federation of Dermatology and Venereology of France.
