Admission
The admission process at Hanoi French Hospital is designed to ensure speed, convenience, and safety for every patient.
From the initial reception step, the hospital provides complete information on timing, procedures, and necessary instructions to help patients prepare thoroughly for admission, procedures/surgeries, and post-treatment care.
Admission time
- The admission time is determined by the attending doctor based on each patient’s condition.
- Standard admission hours: 07:00 – 10:00 AM.
- In emergency situations or labor outside outpatient hours, the hospital receives patients 24/7.
Preparation before admission
For patients scheduled for procedures or surgery, please note:
- Fast for at least 6 hours before the procedure/surgery.
- Do not smoke for at least 12 hours before the procedure.
- The doctor will give specific instructions for each case. Please follow all guidance to ensure safety.
Admission procedures
- When the doctor indicates admission, the receptionist will explain all relevant information, arrange the admission date, and provide the inpatient information sheet.
- If you agree to be admitted, you will need to complete and sign the Consent for Treatment, confirming you have been fully informed of the benefits and risks of treatment.
- For surgeries, patients will be required to make an advance payment so that the hospital can arrange the operating room.
Documents to prepare:
- Identification (ID/CCCD or passport)
- Health insurance card or private insurance card (if applicable)
- Referral letter or admission order (if any)
- Medical records, past test results, or imaging films (if available)
- H Plus Membership card (if applicable)
Hospital staff will guide and support you through all admission procedures, introduce the inpatient room, and provide essential information.
Inpatient rooms
Hanoi French Hospital offers modern, well-equipped facilities to meet the needs of various specialties.
Inpatient bed system: 170 beds, including:
- 62 beds in the General Inpatient Unit
- 47 beds in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Unit
- 38 beds in the Pediatrics Unit
- 6 beds in the VIP Inpatient Area
- 9 beds in the Isolation Unit
In addition, there are 20 beds in the Day-care Unit.
Each room is equipped with shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, and other essential amenities.
Cancellation of admission schedule
If you need to cancel or reschedule your admission, please:

- Saturday: 07:30 – 14:00
Please notify the hospital at least 2 days before your scheduled admission so we can rearrange treatment planning appropriately.
