The Nutrition Department at Hanoi French Hospital provides comprehensive nutrition consultation, treatment, and care services for all groups – from children to adults – with an individualized approach. Nutrition regimens are tailored for each patient based on a thorough assessment of nutritional status, medical conditions, absorption capacity, and dietary habits.

Our nutrition specialists not only help patients prevent and manage nutrition-related issues but also contribute to optimizing treatment outcomes for other conditions such as metabolic disorders, cancer, and post-surgical recovery.

Scope of Services

Outpatient care:

  • Examination, diagnosis, and management of non-communicable chronic diseases related to nutrition such as overweight/obesity, malnutrition, loss of appetite, micronutrient deficiencies, dyslipidemia, hypertension, gout, osteoporosis, cancer; as well as patients after surgery and those with other nutrition-related conditions.
  • Nutrition care and rehabilitation for children with malnutrition, loss of appetite, micronutrient deficiencies, growth retardation, or chronic illnesses.
  • Counseling on weight management for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and postpartum women.
  • Developing appropriate meal plans for each individual according to their medical conditions and needs.
  • Providing guidance on nutrition practices and recommending suitable nutritional products for all groups.

Inpatient nutrition care:

  • Assessment and adjustment of diets for patients with special nutritional needs (enteral or parenteral nutrition) depending on their medical condition in intensive care, or with liver, kidney, cardiac diseases, and other chronic conditions related to nutrition.
  • Monitoring patient compliance with prescribed diets, evaluating tolerance, explaining specialized nutrition plans, and assessing their effectiveness.
  • Counseling on appropriate meal plans and nutrition after discharge from hospital.

Nutrition education & awareness:

  • Conducting communication and educational programs to raise awareness and understanding of proper nutrition for all groups.
