Overview

The Department of Dermatology & Venereology is operating with a team of a permanent dermatologist and French specialists working on rotations.

Dermatology belongs to internal medicine. The dermatologists are frequently involved in the Hospitalization Department to care for patients suffering from chronic or infectious diseases.

Most of skin disorders are treated as out-patients:

• psoriasis;

• dyshidrosis (hand and foot excessive sudation);

• acne;

• infectious dermatosis (bacterial, viral and fungal);

• skin tumors;

• allergies in collaboration with pneumologists.

The Department is equiped with PUVA therapy cabin and ionophorese apparatus to relieve excessive sudations.

Dermatologists maintain very close collaboration with their colleagues of the National Institute of Dermatology and Venereology and the Federation of Dermatology and Venereology of France.
