Visiting Time

The necessity of controlling visiting hours is to ensure that patients can take a necessary rest and also to allow our nurses and doctors to provide treatment without disruption.

To make sure that patients get optimum rest, quality care and are not disturbed unnecessarily, visits to all patients within the Intensive Care, High Dependency Units will be controlled by our staff.

General WardFrom 2:30PM to 9:00PM everyday
Maternity WardFrom 2:30PM to 9:00PM everyday
Intensive Care UnitFrom 4:00PM to 6:00PM everyday
Pediatric WardFrom 2:30PM to 9:00PM everyday

Visits beyond visiting hours are discouraged. No children below 12 years of age are allowed.

After visiting hours, registration with our nurses to obtain the Visitors Pass is compulsory. Permission will be granted subject to patient’s condition and doctor’s approval.

Restriction for visit

General Ward & Pediatric Ward

A maximum of 2 visitors are permitted at any one time for patients on the General Ward. Then, visitors are not permitted to stay overnight unless approval is first given by the doctor or the Director of Nursing.

For the patient of a child (under 12 years of age), patients’ mother or father, but not both, may stay overnight with the child. In this situation, all meals for the parent are provided free of charge.

Maternity:

A maximum of 2 visitors at a time are allowed for patient in the Maternity. However, overnight staying is not permitted.

For hygiene reason, flowers are kept on the balcony

Intensive Care Unit:

Visitors for ICU must notify nursing staff of their arrival and only one visitor is allowed at any time in the unit. Children are not allowed in the ICU.

For the safety of the patients and the comfort of the visitors, we kindly request that all visitors waiting outside the wards should do so in the designated areas. Visitors found waiting in corridors or in restricted areas will be asked to move.

For safety reasons, visitors are not permitted to use the hospital services and facilities meant for patients such as laundry, bathing and showering, etc.

General Recommendations

For the safety of the patients and the comfort of the visitors, we kindly request all visitors should wait outside the wards at the designated areas.

Visitors found waiting in corridors or in restricted areas shall be kindly asked to leave. Visitors are not permitted to use the hospital services and facilities meant for patients, such as laundry, bathing and showering, etc.

Smoking and use of alcohol inside the hospital are strictly prohibited.

In some areas of the hospital, the use of mobile phones is strictly forbidden as it can interfere with patient monitoring equipment.

In all other areas of the hospital, the usage is strongly discouraged. Please observe the signals throughout the hospital which indicate if you are allowed to use your mobile phone.

Visitors are kindly requested to turn off their mobile phones while they are in a consultation room or ward. When using a mobile phone within the environs of the hospital, please respect others and use discretion.
