Medical Team
From the onset, in year 2000, the Vietnamese and French team has united on a hospital project that combines the strengths and talents of both components: the Vietnamese colleagues strongly motivated to achieve international standards of care and their French counterparts, totally committed to give their competence and practise their art at the best level in Vietnam.
A very strong mutual respect exists among French and Vietnamese doctors, born from a century of collaboration between the two Medical Schools. This historic heritage is still at work today to keep alive the strong motivation to propose at L’Hôpital Français de Hanoi quality medical care to serve the expectations in Hanoi and the region.
The medical team covers about 40 doctor’s positions, served by a mixed group of specialists, French or Vietnamese, some permanent, others on a time share basis, in equal proportions.
The French specialists organize themselves in specialty colleges, each of them leaded by a specialty coordinator. All French doctors are registered with the Ministry of Health and they work on periodic shifts, from 2 to 4 weeks, sometimes several times a year following a pre-established roster.
Each specialty is working under the responsibility of a Head of Department, always a permanent doctor of Vietnamese, French or other nationality.
